Why we started
We have gained a lot of customers because their previous provider stopped taking calls.
Lucky Duck Mowing started 2 years ago with a single mower, a trailer, and a stretch of word-of-mouth that has never really stopped. We are a family-run small business based in Little Mountain on the Sunshine Coast.
Most of our customers came to us because their previous provider stopped taking calls or just disappeared without warning. We will always show up when we say we will, and we have good communication so you know exactly when we will arrive. We take the utmost pride in doing an outstanding job, and we complete every job as if it were our own property.
We grew the way good trade businesses get built: doing one lawn properly, having the customer recommend us to a neighbour, and showing up the next time when we said we would. 23 five-star reviews later, that is still the only formula.

Reliable
We turn up when we say we will. We send a reminder text the day before. If something genuinely throws the schedule off (and the Sunshine Coast weather has thrown plenty of schedules off), we tell you. We do not ghost you.
Tidy
A finished lawn is not a shorter lawn, it is a clean job. Edges done. Hard surfaces blown clear. Green waste off the property if that is what you want. We leave properties tidier than we found them.
Family-centred
We are a small business and we know our regulars by name. Most of our work comes from referrals. That puts a quiet pressure on us to do every job the way we would want it done at our own house.

Most of our regulars are residential homeowners and renters who want a reliable fortnightly mow. We also work with body corporate managers, small business sites, and NDIS, DVA and Aged Care clients via plan managers and support coordinators. We invoice direct to your plan or your support service where that is the easier path.

The yellow trailer and ute you will see pulling up. Petrol mowers for residential lawns, ride-on equipment for larger blocks, line trimmer and edger for detail work, hedge shears (powered and manual) for shaping, and a leaf blower because no job is finished without it.
